Many major universities announce admission methods for 2023

Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced on February 11 that in 2023, it will enroll three new programs, including Microelectronics Engineering and Nanotechnology, Polymer and Composite Materials Technology, and Bioengineering. In the first year of enrollment, the enrollment quota for each program is 40. Except for Bioengineering, which is a high-quality program, the rest are standard programs.

The total enrollment target of the school this year is 7,985, of which the Chemical Engineering program enrolls the most, 520 students; Control and Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering 500.

The method of talent selection is divided into 3 groups. First, the school directly selects candidates who have won first, second, or third prizes in the national science and technology competition or are called to participate in the selection of the International Olympic Team. They will be directly selected for the field of study that matches the field in which they won the prize.

Second, candidates with one of the international certificates SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP or IB must have an average score of 8 or higher in grades 10, 11 and 12.

Third, consider the application documents and interview candidates with an average score of 8 or higher in grades 10, 11 and 12 and have won provincial-level excellent student awards or have been selected to compete in national excellent student, science and technology competitions; participate in the Road to Olympia competition from the monthly round; IELTS 6.0 or higher or equivalent; specialized students of specialized and gifted schools.

2023,Hanoi University of Science and Technologyi(Vietnam - France University) plans to enroll 950 students (an increase of 12.5% ​​compared to 2022), through 3 methods: Admission based on the results of the competency assessment test (method 1); direct admission according to the school's enrollment plan (method 2); admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam (method 3).

For method 3, the school does not enroll in aviation engineering programs and dual degree programs.

With method 1, the admission process will be conducted in 3 steps: Reviewing capacity records (mainly through academic results recorded in the transcript); taking a knowledge test organized by the Vietnam - France University; interviewing (through online form).

Candidates must have an average score of 6.5 or higher in Grade 11 and Semester 1 of Grade 12 in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Informatics (applicable to candidates applying in the first and second rounds). Candidates applying in the third round will have their average score in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Informatics calculated based on their Grade 11 and Grade 12 results.

The test assesses knowledge of natural sciences related to the applied field. Candidates with satisfactory test scores will be invited to an interview with the admissions board of the Vietnam - France University. Candidates can choose to be interviewed in Vietnamese or English.

For dual degree programs, in addition to the above criteria, candidates are required to have an IELTS certificate of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT of 60. Candidates applying for dual degree programs, after passing the transcript review and knowledge test, will have to participate in an interview in English.

With method 2, candidates who are eligible for direct admission are exempted from taking the knowledge test and interview. The criteria for admission to one-degree training programs (except for Aviation Engineering) are that candidates have excellent academic results and an average score of 8.8 or higher in 5 natural subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Information Technology. For the first and second admissions, the academic results considered include the 11th grade year, the 2nd semester of the 12th grade; for the third admission, the academic results of the 11th and 12th grades are considered.

In addition, the school also directly admits candidates who have won provincial, national and international prizes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology and Geography. The Aeronautical Engineering major only directly admits candidates who have won prizes in Mathematics, Physics and Information Technology; the Geography prize is only applicable to candidates applying for the Space Science and Satellite Technology major.

2023,Vietnam Academy of Agriculture5,860 students are recruited for 18 majors. Of which, the group of majors that recruits the most is Business Administration, Commerce and Tourism with 1,680 students, Information Technology and Digital is 600, Economics and Management is 560.

This year, the school uses 4 admission methods, including: Direct admission and priority admission; Admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam; Review of academic records and combined admission.

With the admission method based on high school academic results (reviewing transcripts), the admission score is the total average score of the entire year of grade 11 (for round 1 admission) or grade 12 (for round 2 admission) on a 10-point scale of 3 subjects according to the admission combination, plus priority points (if any) reaching from 21-23 points or higher.

With combined admission, candidates only choose 1 of 3 combined admission criteria including:

Criterion 1:For candidates with Good academic performance in grade 11 (for round 1 admission) or grade 12 (for round 2 admission) at high schools and have an international English certificate IELTS score of 5.0 or higher or other equivalent international English certificates announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Criterion 2:Admission is based on high school academic results (transcript) combined with the results of the VNUA - 2023 Technology Knowledge and Creative Startup Competition, plus priority points (if any). This criterion requires the application score to be from 21-23 or higher depending on the major.

TCriterion 3:Admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam combined with the results of the VNUA - 2023 Technology Knowledge and Creative Startup Competition, plus priority points (if any). This criterion requires the application score to be from 18-20 points or higher depending on the major.

To have a chance to get extra points when applying for university, candidates register to receive information about the VNUA - 2023 Technology Knowledge and Creative Startup Contest. The admission principle is that candidates register by major group with a maximum of 1 wish corresponding to 1 training major group. The Academy considers from high to low until the quota is full. Candidates who are not admitted to their registered wish will continue to be considered for admission to other major groups when there are still quotas.

Regarding the admission time, with admission methods 1 and 2, it is carried out according to the regulations and general schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training. With the 2 combined admission methods 3 and 4, it takes place from April 4 to May 25 (round 1) and from June 6 to July 25 (round 2).

2023,Academy of Posts and Telecommunications TechnologyEnrollment and training of 15 majors (an increase of 2 majors compared to 2022). The Academy also plans to enroll new majors and training programs such as: Digital Economy, Communication and Public Relations, Bachelor of Information Technology (applied direction).

For the High Quality Program: The Academy continues to recruit and train students for the High Quality Program in Information Technology with program content that has many advantages and benefits for learners; the expected quota is 300.

In addition, the Academy plans to start enrolling and training a high-quality Marketing program in the direction of Digital Marketing with about 50 targets.

Academy admission principles:

– Candidates must meet the input quality assurance threshold according to the Academy's regulations;

– Admission by major and by exam subject combination;

– The admission scores of the subject combinations in the same major are equal;

– Admission of all wishes is equal (there is no difference in scores between wishes in the same major);

– Consider admission from candidates with high results down to the full quota and ensure admission quality;

– The Academy does not apply additional criteria in the admission process, other than the regulations of the University Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;

– Admission score is calculated on a 10-point scale, the maximum total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination is 30 points;

– If the admission quota by each method is not enough, the remaining quota will be transferred to admission by other methods./.
