Compared to previous years, this year's peanut crop is good, with an estimated yield of 1.3 quintals/sao. The family is expected to harvest about 4 quintals of peanuts, with the current market price of nearly 40,000 VND/kg, the family is expected to earn over 13 million VND this crop, much higher than other crops."

Mr. Pham Ba Ai - Vice Chairman of Dien Thinh Commune People's Committee said: This year, the whole commune planted over 300 hectares of winter peanuts, with an average yield of 26 quintals/ha, higher than the winter crop of previous years. Although heavy rains last month caused some fields to be flooded, we had previously completed a number of drainage canals, so despite the flooding, the water receded very quickly, ensuring the productivity and quality of peanuts.

Not only a good harvest, the joy of farmers is also multiplied when this year's winter peanut crop has a quite high price. If in the winter crop of 2019, peanuts cost from 30,000 - 33,000 VND/kg, this year it has increased from 38,000 - 40,000 VND/kg. With this price, farmers have a stable income of about 5 million VND/sao.
