Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung was elected Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee.
Mr. Tung was born in 1966; hometown is Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province; National Assembly Delegate, 13th and 14th terms.
Continuing the personnel work, this afternoon (November 25), Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, reported the results of discussions at the National Assembly delegation and explained and accepted the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the expected personnel to elect members of the 14th National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee.

As reported, the person nominated to hold this position is Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee. After voting to approve the personnel list via the electronic system, the National Assembly elected the two positions above by secret ballot.
The vote counting results showed that 433/451 delegates agreed (accounting for 89.64% of the total number of National Assembly delegates) to elect Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung to hold the position of member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Assembly.
As Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee, Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung received440/451 votes in favor (accounting for 91% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).
The resolution to elect the above positions has also been passed by the National Assembly.
