Breaking up a lottery betting ring in 9 communes in Yen Thanh led by a 'female monster'

On May 31, the Investigation Police Agency, Yen Thanh District Police, announced that it had prosecuted 12 subjects for the crime of "Assault"."Silver" in the form of lottery numbers.

These subjects were arrested in a special project chaired by Yen Thanh District Police, in coordination with the Professional Department, Provincial Police and Police of 9 communes in the district to establish and successfully discover.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, Yen Thanh District Police discovered a sophisticated gambling ring in the form of buying and selling lottery numbers, with the participation of many subjects. The subjects operated in a closed manner, only using social networks to receive lottery messages. To eradicate this ring, Yen Thanh District Police established a special project to fight.

After a period of synchronous use of professional measures, the police force established many working groups, mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers to simultaneously arrest 14 subjects, all residing in Yen Thanh district, at 12 lottery and lottery recording points in Yen Thanh district. Among them, Nguyen Thi Trang (born in 1988), residing in Dong Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, is the ringleader.

The seized exhibits included 100 million VND in cash, 18 mobile phones, and 2 books recording lottery numbers. Through the investigation, Yen Thanh District Police clarified that the amount of money the subjects transacted for gambling on the day of arrest was more than 600 million VND.

The case is currently under investigation and handling according to the law.
