Strive to have the entire Hoang Mai - Thai Hoa route technically open to traffic by November 15.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of October 21, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, led a working delegation of the province to inspect the actual construction progress of the Hoang Mai-Thai Hoa road and the road connecting to the Nghia Dan MDF Wood Processing Factory. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee office, relevant departments, leaders of Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai, Thai Hoa districts, contractors and construction units.

The total length of the Hoang Mai - Thai Hoa route is 29 km, the starting point is Km0 intersecting with National Highway 1A at Km385+823 and the ending point is Km28+990 connecting with National Highway 48 at Km30+609. The scale of the road is a level III plain. The project started in July 2010, the plan was to complete and put into use in September 2012, however, due to difficulties in funding, the contract was extended to December 30, 2015.

This route has a total investment of 855 billion VND, of which 633 billion VND is for construction and installation, 222 billion VND for site clearance and contingency costs. Currently, 521 billion VND has been allocated, of which 361 billion VND has been completed, reaching 57%.

Construction of bridgehead road at Km9+127

Currently, most of the basic works have been subgraded, 108/113 drainage works have been completed, reaching 96%; 5/7 bridges on the route have been basically completed. However, the biggest difficulty currently encountered at the project is that some households are still causing difficulties in requesting compensation for the site, as well as deliberately building works encroaching on the traffic corridor, thus hindering the overall progress of the project.

Deputy General Director of Corporation 36 of the Ministry of National Defense Nguyen Dang Thuan spoke, hoping to soon arrange capital to meet construction requirements.

At the working session with departments, branches, localities, contractors and construction units, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave instructions: localities where the route passes through need to focus on resolving land-related problems and strictly handle cases of encroachment on the corridor. At the same time, strengthen the management of construction quality, pay attention to environmental sanitation and labor safety at the construction site. The Department of Transport and the Supervision Consultant must closely monitor the scene and promptly handle problems on the route.

In addition, contractors and construction units should strengthen internal quality management, synchronously implement construction solutions, and meet the set schedule. Pay attention to traffic safety, reasonably balance capital sources to arrange and install a red light system at the intersection with National Highway 48, and aim to open the entire route to technical traffic by November 15, 2015. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien also requested Nghia Dan district to focus on completing the road to the MDF Wood Processing Factory, in order to promptly serve the transportation of raw materials for the factory's production line.
