6 people fined 65 million VND for gathering to eat and drink during centralized quarantine period

On August 21, Trang Son Commune Police (Do Luong) issued a notice of violations of Covid-19 prevention and control regulations against 6 cases of gathering to eat and drink during the quarantine period at the centralized household quarantine point.

All six people were killed.punishmentwith a total amount of 65 million VND according to the Decision of the Chairman of Do Luong District People's Committee on August 20.

Previously, the working group of Trang Son Commune Police organized patrols to check and monitor centralized medical quarantine points for households whose houses were requisitioned to serve as quarantine points for Trang Son Commune citizens returning from epidemic areas.

During the patrol, the team discovered that the house of Nguyen Phuc Sy (born in 1989, in hamlet 5, Trang Son commune) was the point used by the commune steering committee as a centralized quarantine point for Mr. Sy's family, including Mr. Sy and his wife and 4 children under 5 years old; Nguyen Phuc Nhan (born in 1981), Nguyen Van Tinh (born in 1996) both residing in hamlet 5, Trang Son commune, were the people who traveled on the same bus with Mr. Sy from the South.

At this time, in Mr. Sy's house, there were 6 people gathered to eat and drink, including: Nguyen Phuc Sy and his father, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Canh (born in 1960) and 2 people who were quarantined at Mr. Sy's house; in addition, there were Nguyen Van Quang (born in 1963) and Nguyen Van Hung (born in 1991), 2 people who were quarantined at households next to Mr. Sy's house.

Due to “Failure to comply with measures”disease prevention, infectious diseases at the request of competent agencies and organizations", Mr. Nguyen Phuc Canh and Mr. Nguyen Phuc Sy were each fined 10 million VND. Nguyen Phuc Nhan, Nguyen Van Tinh, Nguyen Van Quang, Nguyen Van Hung each fined 7.5 million VND.

In addition to gathering to eat and drink, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang and Nguyen Van Hung also left the centralized quarantine area to go to Mr. Sy's house to eat and drink, so they were each fined an additional 7.5 million VND.

On August 21, Do Luong District Police said that there were 14 cases in the area.be punishedfor not implementing epidemic prevention and control measures according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister.
