(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 8, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association held the first session of the 13th Congress, term 2020 - 2025, with the participation of 312 delegates who are members of the Association.

The Congress voted to approve the list of the Presidium consisting of 5 comrades; the Secretariat consisting of 2 comrades; At the same time, voted to approve the Program and Regulations of the Congress.

Opening the first session, comrade Tran Duy Ngoan - Chairman of Nghe An Journalists Association emphasized that the 8th Congress of Nghe An Journalists Association, term 2020 - 2025is an important milestone affirming the new development of the press and the role of the Journalists Association in its function as a professional socio-political organization.journalist, before the requirements of the 4.0 industrial revolution, on the eve of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, the 13th National Party Congress and the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

At the first session, the Congress elected the 8th Executive Committee of Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, term 2020 - 2025, consisting of 11 comrades.

At the congress, delegates discussed enthusiastically and contributed many ideas to improve the quality of activities of the Journalists Association. The Nghe An Police Newspaper Branch presented a discussion on the topic: Promoting the role and responsibility of members of the Nghe An Police Newspaper when participating in social networks.
The Military Region 4 Newspaper Association presented a discussion on the topic: Propaganda of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology and style" is the "red thread" throughout the Military Region 4 Newspaper. The Vinh - Nghi Loc - Cua Lo Cluster Association presented a discussion on the topic: Solutions to enhance the role and position of the Association and Journalist members at the District-level Culture, Sports and Tourism Centers in press communication work.

In the first session, the Congress also elected 3 comrades to the Inspection Committee of Nghe An Journalists Association.
Comrade Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Head of the Inspection Board of the Provincial Journalists Association for the 2015 - 2020 term, was re-elected as Head of the Inspection Board of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association for the 2020 - 2025 term.
The two members of the Inspection Committee are Ho Cong Linh - Editor-in-Chief of Military Region Four Newspaper and Nguyen Trung Thao - Head of the TC - HC Department of the Provincial Radio and Television Station.
The Congress also elected 6 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 11th Congress of Vietnam Journalists Association, term 2020 - 2025.
