Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong: Strictly control trails and openings on the border
(Baonghean.vn) - Inspecting the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in Que Phong district, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong noted that the locality needs to pay special attention to the work of strictly managing and controlling border gates, trails, and openings on the border with Laos.
On the afternoon of April 4, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong and the provincial delegation visited, presented gifts, and inspected the quarantine area in Que Phong district.

Que Phong district has conducted a survey and prepared all living facilities to welcome citizens for centralized quarantine at 3 locations. These are Que Phong Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Na Cay village, Tien Phong commune) with 200 beds, ensuring adequate accommodation and living facilities. Tri Le Boarding Secondary School (Lien Hop hamlet, Tri Le commune) with 100 - 200 beds and Thong Thu Boarding Secondary School (Loc village, Thong Thu commune) with 80 beds.
From March 28 to April 2, Que Phong district received 185 citizens from 5 provinces: Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc, Quang Binh and Gia Lai for centralized quarantine at Que Phong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Na Cay village, Tien Phong commune).
Que Phong currently has 1,012 workers working abroad, of which 435 have returned home, while 577 have not yet returned home.
The citizens in centralized quarantine mainly returned from Laos with 173 people, the remaining 2 people from China, 2 people from Cambodia, 2 people from Bach Mai Hospital.

After receiving citizens for centralized quarantine, the units arranged forces to serve, care for, and ensure their living conditions, in accordance with the standards and regulations prescribed by the State. Currently, people in the quarantine area are very secure, cooperative, and trust the government's epidemic prevention measures.
In particular, despite many economic difficulties, ethnic people in Que Phong district have promoted the spirit of mutual love and support for each other through meaningful and noble humane actions.
Many organizations and individuals donated necessities such as: soap, disinfectant, masks, instant noodles, milk, rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, vegetables, fruits, cash and labor for cooking, etc.
Visiting, presenting gifts, and encouraging officers, soldiers, and medical staff performing duties at the district quarantine area in Que Phong district, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong acknowledged and highly appreciated the forces for their efforts to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
At the same time, share difficulties and encourage the forces serving in the quarantine area to try to complete their tasks well, implement disease prevention measures well, and contribute to effectively preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that Que Phong district should continue to thoroughly disseminate to all people, agencies, departments and branches in the district to strictly comply with Directive 16 of the Prime Minister; promote the vanguard role of all levels, branches, political and social organizations, especially the role of union members and youth in serving the task of epidemic prevention and control at concentrated quarantine areas. At the same time, it is necessary to prepare to ensure all aspects at quarantine points, ready to receive citizens for quarantine when requested by the province.
Comrade Nguyen Van Thong noted that Que Phong is a border area with Laos, so the locality needs to pay special attention to the management, monitoring, and information gathering of foreigners in the district, and people from epidemic areas in the country returning from Laos through border gates, or through trails and openings.
