(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 5, comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam visited the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Nam Dan (Nghe An) to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.


The Central delegation included comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education; and representatives of the Office of the President.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Nam Dan district.

In a sacred and respectful atmosphere, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, expressing their infinite gratitude and deep respect for his great thoughts and noble life.

Writing in the Golden Book of Relics at Kim Lien Relic Site, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan wrote: “Today, I, along with the National Assembly’s Committee on Culture and Education and the Office of the President, have the opportunity to visit Nghe An - Uncle Ho’s hometown. We are extremely honored and moved to see Nghe An growing more and more prosperous; to offer flowers and incense to Kim Lien Relic Site.”

Also at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, the Vice President visited his maternal and paternal hometowns; offered incense and planted a memorial tree at Chung Son Temple - the ancestral temple of President Ho Chi Minh on Chung Mountain.

At the headquarters of the People's Committee of Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented souvenirs to Nam Dan district and Kim Lien commune; awarded 100 scholarships to students of Nam Dan district with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies, and presented 10 gratitude houses and 30 gifts to policy families of the district.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her impression of the results achieved by the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An province in general, Nam Dan district and Kim Lien commune in particular, in recent times.

According to the Vice President, Nghe An province has not only developed its economy rapidly, but also preserved the nation's cultural traditions, revolutionary traditions, and protected the environment. In particular, the Kim Lien relic site (Nam Dan) has promoted its role as a place to educate traditions, preserve the nation's fine traditions for the whole country; and maintain trust in Uncle Ho, the Party, and the State.

That result is the contribution of the political system and more importantly, the people, generations of cadres and party members of Nghe An who have worked hard to cultivate it in recent times.

At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan also discussed some contents with the province. First of all, Nghe An has invaluable values ​​that not every land has. It is the homeland of Uncle Ho, the homeland of famous people, of revolutionary predecessors, of patriots; the homeland of the fine traditions of the Vietnamese people... On that basis, the Vice President hopes that the province will continue to preserve these invaluable values ​​to become an endogenous driving force for development today and tomorrow.

Along with that, Nghe An needs to continue to promote its potentials and strengths in the construction of the homeland and the country; replicate economic development models that are bright spots to become popular models in 21 districts, cities and towns, creating harmonious and even development among localities in the province, especially remote areas, revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas...

“We need to develop the economy, culture, society and environment in harmony, improve the quality of life of the people, for the happiness of the people,” the Vice President emphasized.

Nghe An is a land of learning, rich in tradition of studiousness, so according to the Vice President, there needs to be a long-term plan to invest in developing human resources to serve not only Nghe An but also the whole country, not only for the immediate future but also for the long term.

Finally, he hoped that the province would continue to preserve and promote the fine traditions of the nation, the revolutionary traditions of the heroic homeland of Nghe An, to educate the young generation of the province and the whole country, and to arouse the motivation and aspirations for prosperous and happy development.

During the working program, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express her deep gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs at the "fire coordinates" Truong Bon, My Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An.

During the resistance war against the US to save the country, 1,240 outstanding people fell on the legendary road due to enemy bombs and bullets, typically the heroic sacrifice of 13 youth volunteers of Company 317 on October 31, 1968.
