Quy Chau won first prize in the 2018 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition

On July 13-14, Nghe An Department of Health organized the 2018 Excellent Grassroots Health Competition. There were 21 teams from 21 districts, cities and towns in the province participating in the competition.

The Excellent Primary Health Care Competition is organized at 3 levels: Primary, Provincial and Central. Before the provincial competition, from June 15-30, 2018, the primary level competition took place.

Through that, 21 districts, cities and towns have selected excellent teams to participate in the provincial competition.

This is the first time that the Vietnamese health sector has organized this contest. The contest takes place in the context of the entire health sector focusing on grassroots health care with the theme "Improving the quality of medical examination and treatment at grassroots health care", contributing to bringing Resolutions 20 and 21 of the Party Central Committee on the work of protecting, caring for, and improving people's health, and population work in the new situation into life.

The “Excellent Grassroots Health” contest has become a festival for grassroots health workers. Through the contest, doctors and nurses can exchange, learn, and share experiences to effectively protect and care for people’s health; honor the beauty of knowledge, intelligence, talent, medical ethics, and patient service style of health workers, thereby spreading good examples of grassroots health workers.

At the contest, 21 teams took turns competing in greeting, knowledge and talent.

The knowledge competition includes practical content of Circular 33/TT-BYT, non-communicable disease management, disease prevention, HIV, expanded immunization, care for pregnant mothers and family planning. The talent competition consists of propaganda skits.

During the 2 days of organization, the contest took place in an exciting, joyful and successful manner, achieving the set goals.

Results: Quy Chau district team won first prize; Con Cuong and Anh Son district teams won second prize; Tuong Duong, Nghi Loc and Dien Chau district teams won third prize.

The Quy Chau district team will represent Nghe An health sector to participate in the North Central region's Excellent Primary Health Care Competition to be held on August 28, 2018 in Ha Tinh./.
