Planning Dien Chau district to become the future urban center of Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The draft of Nghe An Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, indicates that Nghe An will have 6 urban centers, including Dien Chau. With its existing advantages, becoming the center of investment and development of the province is a "golden" opportunity for Dien Chau to make a breakthrough.

Strategic location, fast and synchronous infrastructure development
Dien Chau has a favorable geographical location, with sea, forest, and fertile agricultural land. This is also one of the districts with the largest number of communes and population in Nghe An province; with a total of 40 communes and towns with a population of nearly 300,000 people.
Dien Chau has been and is an important link in the national transportation system, with 4 key traffic axes running through the area, including: National Highway 1A, North-South Expressway (under construction), North-South railway, and national coastal road. The inter-district and inter-provincial transportation system has been completed and synchronized to a high level.
With a series of draft plans for railway and sea transport, Dien Chau will have more convenient connections, significantly shortening the distance with other localities. Dien Chau is also a locality with a strong urbanization process, outstanding speed of infrastructure construction and traffic, which will create a foundation and great boosts to attract investors and develop the economy.

Attracting strong investment – accelerating urbanization
With the above strengths, in recent years Dien Chau has been one of the localities with the fastest economic development and urbanization in the North Central region.
In 2020, the total investment in all fields and areas of Dien Chau district accounted for nearly 50% of the total investment in Nghe An province. Dien Chau became a new bright spot in attracting investment capital for industrial development and service economy in Nghe An.

A series of industrial projects have been and will be built. Garment, packaging, footwear, seafood processing factories... have investment levels ranging from tens to thousands of billions of VND. In addition, there are many real estate service projects such as: 5-star eco-resort complex with an area of 400 hectares in Dien Lam of Muong Thanh Group, TNR Group's project, Hai Van Urban Area...
VSIP is also implementing the licensing procedures for the VSIP Nghe An II project in Tho Loc Industrial Park - Dien Chau. This will be a condition for Dien Chau to attract investment and develop its economy to be worthy of a Central urban area. With the above moves, Dien Chau is said to be "clearing the way for eagles".
