In recent days, people in Bong Khe commune have been extremely worried about the fact that dozens of hectares of agricultural land along the Lam River that people are cultivating have been washed away by floods. In Bong Khe commune alone, more than 20 hectares of land have been washed away and seriously eroded.
In some places, the Lam River has eaten into people's agricultural land 50-60m, sweeping away many areas of fruit trees in harvest season such as oranges, grapefruits, and sugarcane.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang - Chairman of Bong Khe Commune People's Committee, Con Cuong District said: In the recent flood, Bong Khe was the most severely damaged area, with more than 20 hectares of production land being eroded and swept away, and 5km of internal roads being severely damaged. We hope to build embankments on both sides of Lam River to protect the land for the people, because the erosion situation has gone beyond the locality's ability to overcome.
Currently, landslides occur most frequently in communes along the Lam River, namely Chi Khe, Thi Tran, and Chau Khe. It is worth mentioning that there are landslides just a few dozen meters from National Highway 7.
