Department of Education and Training and Sacombank give Tet gifts to poor households
(Baonghean.vn) - A delegation from the Nghe An Department of Education and Training visited and presented 30 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 30 poor households in Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district; Sacombank presented Tet gifts to poor households in Ky Son.

Nghi Dien Commune, Nghi Loc District has 2,154 households, with a population of 8,411 people, of which 5,605 are Catholic, accounting for 70% of the commune's population. At the end of 2020, the commune had 12 poor households and 95 near-poor households.

The delegation visited and presented 30 gifts, each worth 1,000,000 VND, to 30 poor households in Nghi Dien commune. These gifts came from the contribution fund of officials and teachers of the provincial education sector with the desire to share difficulties with the poor.

On behalf of the Department of Education and Training, Mr. Dao Cong Loi - Deputy Director of the Department sent New Year greetings to the people of Nghi Dien commune. Although the gifts were not large, they were the hearts of the province's educators sent to families facing many difficulties, with the hope that the people would have a warmer, more peaceful and more fulfilling New Year.
He hopes that in the new year, people will unite together to overcome difficulties, escape poverty, and build a more and more developed commune.

At the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Pham Viet Duc - Director of Sacombank Nghe An branch said that the gift is the heart of the branch's staff and employees towards the people in the highlands on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. This is an activity in response to the Appeal Letter to care for the poor during Tet by the Provincial Party Secretary.

Nam Can is a particularly difficult highland commune of Ky Son district, with nearly 70% of households being poor; the commune center is about 50 km from Muong Xen town, with many difficulties in traffic.
Since 2016, Nam Can commune has received support from Sacombank Nghe An branch. Since then, responding to the Call for Care LetterTet for the poorof the province, each year the branch spends from 50 to 100 million VND to help the commune and give gifts to poor households to celebrate Tet./.
