The number of candidates applying to Vinh University's specialized school is higher than previous years.

According to the previously announced enrollment plan, this year the school has 350 quotas for 7 specialized programs: Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature and English. Each specialized program has 1 class, and the English program has 3 classes. In addition, the school recruits 4 classes with 120 students in the high-quality program.

According to the school's summary, up to now, the school has received 1,783 registration applications for the specialized exam system and 457 registration applications for the high-quality exam system. Among the registration applications for the specialized exam system, English is the specialized exam system with the largest number of registered candidates with 537 candidates. Next is the Literature major with 345 candidates, the Math major with 271 candidates, the Chemistry major with 218 candidates, the Informatics major with 174 candidates (of which, 105 candidates take the Math exam and 69 candidates take the Informatics exam), the Physics major has 132 candidates and the Biology major has 105 candidates registered for the exam.

Currently, according to the synthesis, there are 183 candidates eligible for direct admission to the high-quality system and 803 candidates registered for the second wish to enter the high-quality class.

Thus, compared to previous years, the number of candidates registering for the High School is higher than previous years with nearly 800 candidates (in both specialized systems). This is also the first year that the school does not directly recruit candidates who have won prizes in excellent student competitions, science and technology competitions for high school students and students with international foreign language certificates. Instead, candidates will be given priority points with scores calculated from 1 to 5 points depending on the candidates' entrance exam results. Currently, there are 281 candidates with priority points, of which the most are English majors with 155 candidates.

In the high-quality system, if the school previously recruited directly based on academic results, this year the school only recruits directly with students who won prizes in provincial excellent student competitions, science and technology competitions or young IT competitions, students with IELTS certificates with a quota of 10%. In addition, the school plans to recruit 30% of the quota with candidates taking the specialized exam registering for admission in the second wish. For the remaining quotas, candidates who want to be admitted must take the exam in 2 subjects: Math and English. The total admission score is equal to the English score multiplied by 2 plus the Math score.
