Thai Hoa: Open tennis tournament, giving 30 gifts to policy families

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 22, Thai Hoa town held the opening ceremony of the first open tennis tournament in 2017. Attending and participating in the tournament was comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Tennis Federation.

The organizing committee awarded flags and flowers to the participating units.

This year’s tournament attracted nearly 90 athletes from 9 tennis clubs in the province. The tournament competed in 3 categories: Men’s leadership doubles, Men’s amateur doubles A, Men’s amateur doubles B.

This is the first grassroots tournament organized by Thai Hoa town, aiming to create opportunities for tennis players to exchange and learn, promote the tennis movement of participating units in general and the tennis movement of Thai Hoa town in particular, and at the same time select high-quality athletes to train and participate in provincial tournaments.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Tennis Federation presented gifts to policy families.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee mobilized and raised 50 million VND to show gratitude and present gifts to 30 policy families and meritorious people in the town. At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 15 gifts to 15 policy beneficiaries, each gift worth 2 million VND.

The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held on the afternoon of July 22.
