(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the plan to launch irrigation traffic construction in 2018, Thanh Chuong district simultaneously launched a campaign to repair damaged works and landslides caused by the impact of floods.

The goal of this year's irrigation campaign in Thanh Chuong district is to mobilize people to dredge and drain water for winter crops combined with internal traffic; upgrade and install sewers on the roads dug and built on the banks of the fields; and clean and clear sewers on both sides of the roads.

As of October 31, 2018, the entire Thanh Chuong district mobilized people to work 21,920 working days, dredging and digging irrigation canals for 13,063 m.3; dredging of internal drainage canals 66,419m3; digging and filling of the bank of the plot 8,630m with a volume of 2,077m3. Digging and filling of internal traffic roads 25,399m with a volume of 16,304m3; pouring concrete road aggregate 5,390m long.

The communes also cleared the banks of 269,170 square meters of land; repaired a 416-meter concrete canal, repaired 228 internal culverts; removed 2,301 advertising billboards, and collected 7,719 kg of pesticide packaging and waste.
