Vinh City provides professional training for grassroots population team
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent years, population work in Vinh city has encountered many obstacles because there is not enough staff to operate in the blocks and hamlets, so training professional skills for this team is very necessary.

Previously, implementing Resolution 15/2020/NQ – HDND stipulating a number of policies on population work in Nghe An province, the population collaborators of Vinh city were reorganized in two directions. In which, for wards, population collaborators will also do medical work in the block. For hamlets in communes, medical staff will also do population work.

During the implementation process, due to the new regulations, the reorganization of the population collaborators in the blocks and hamlets encountered many difficulties. Currently, the whole city has only 129 medical staff who also work in population in the blocks and hamlets. Meanwhile, nearly 200 other blocks and hamlets do not have population collaborators because they do not meet the recruitment standards (must have a medical certificate).
This has caused many difficulties for population work in Vinh city, especially in propaganda, mobilization, and implementation of population campaigns. This is also the reason why in recent times, indicators such as the third child birth rate and gender imbalance at birth have tended to increase.
From the above reality, training in population skills and development for the team of hamlet health workers and block population collaborators is extremely important.

The knowledge provided in the training course will help the new population collaborators to improve their basic skills to support the population work in the locality. Through the training course, the grassroots population collaborators also shared their experiences in the process of operation, the difficulties in the wards and communes to find solutions to overcome difficulties in population work in the area.Vinh city.
According to the plan, the training program will be divided into 3 classes with 152 trainees including population collaborators and population officers of wards and communes.
Up to this point, Vinh city is the first locality to organize a training course to improve skills for grassroots population officials and collaborators.
