On April 2, 2025, US President Donald Trump signed a decree imposing a 46% reciprocal tax on Vietnamese goods. Currently, businesses exporting to the US market are requesting the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to soon negotiate with the US side to postpone the decision to impose the tax to spend time discussing and finding a reasonable solution for both sides.
