Singer Thuy Tien said she has done a lot of charity work in Cong Vinh's hometown in Nghe An and hopes the audience will not be jealous.

In addition to her efforts to call for donations to buy water purifiers to support people in the West to fight drought and salinity, Thuy Tien "scored points" in the hearts of the audience when she used her own money to buy rice to give to poor people in her hometown of Kien Giang. She said that in Saigon, difficult circumstances have been helped by many benefactors, people in the countryside are certainly in more difficult circumstances, so she wanted to help everyone overcome the period of social isolation to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.

However, some viewers were skeptical, wondering why she didn't do charity work in Nghe An - Cong Vinh's hometown. Thuy Tien then spoke up to explain: "Everyone, both my parents and I do it, don't be so critical of Vinh. Charity is up to our hearts and abilities, not our responsibilities. We still do charity work all the time, sometimes the press knows and reports on it. Sometimes it's strange to talk about this, but if we don't talk about it, I feel sorry for my husband."

People can comfortably go to the stations to get drinking water directly and cook.

Thuy Tien said she still gets a lot of criticism for doing charity work. Many viewers say she is just showing off and promoting her name, and people who receive rice even curse her in front of her. However, Cong Vinh's wife does not blame her, but only feels sorry for them because they have uncivilized thoughts. She believes that society has 9 people with 10 different opinions, as long as she thinks it's right and can help someone, then she will help.

"I accept all criticisms of exaggeration and PR. It doesn't matter what anyone says, as long as I see the joy of the people when they bring the water home, I accept it all. Looking at the people coming to get water, I don't know why I feel so moved. Seeing them happy makes me very happy," Thuy Tien shared.

Thanks to everyone's cooperation, Thuy Tien has raised more than 14 billion VND. This amount is enough to install 28 water filtration stations. Many stations have been put into operation, people can freely get water for drinking and cooking. "This machine has enough water for the whole area, so rich or poor, whether recognized as poor or not, can still get it for free without distinction, people can rest assured", Thuy Tien advised.
