(Baonghean.vn) - That is the information given by State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc at the meeting with voters in Vinh city, Nghe An on the afternoon of July 3.

Voter Nguyen Canh Toan (Le Loi ward) said: Recently, the Central Government has had many drastic solutions to fight against corruption. Many cases have been resolved, strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the State.

This voter supports the early promulgation of the Law on Anti-Corruption (amended) and suggests that the National Assembly promote its role in anti-corruption work.

Mr. Toan also assessed that the National Assembly passed a number of laws related to people's lives, but the implementation of the laws in life was not good, including propaganda work, and the awareness of law compliance of some groups of people was still limited. He suggested that the National Assembly have solutions to strengthen propaganda, education and dissemination of laws to the people.

Regarding the 2013 Land Law, voters suggested that the National Assembly should consider amending some contents to suit the practical situation.

Voters' opinions reflected on the state of environmental pollution; the situation of some enterprises treating wastewater and chemicals not following technical procedures, not fulfilling environmental protection commitments and requested the State to strengthen inspection and handling of violations; and promote the responsibility of local government leaders to completely resolve the above situation.

Voters also suggested that the Government should resolutely streamline the payroll while promoting the socialization of public services, reforming salaries, restructuring the team of civil servants, public employees, etc.

Responding to voters' petitions on anti-corruption work, State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc said that the Government has directed agencies and sectors to actively fight against corruption, in which many cases have been discovered and clarified by the Government Inspectorate and State Audit.

Mr. Ho Duc Phoc informed: Last year, the State Audit conducted an audit of 283 cases, recommending financial settlement of more than VND 91,000 billion, of which VND 46,000 billion was collected for the budget; 118 cases were transferred to the criminal investigation agency. Through the audit, 220 years of toll collection at 6 BOT stations nationwide were reduced. The State Audit also recommended to the Government and the National Assembly to amend 156 legal documents.

State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc agreed with voters' recommendations to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of laws; at the same time, he agreed with voters' recommendations to strictly handle subjects who oppose the regime and destroy public property.

The head of the State Audit also said that the National Assembly has plans to amend the 2013 Land Law.
