At noon on October 17, the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command CenterNghe Anhad a quick meeting with the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Vinh City to discuss solutions for epidemic prevention and control after a new source of infection appeared in the area.
Before the meeting, the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command CenterNghe Anand the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Vinh City conducted a field survey and assessed the epidemic situation in Ha Huy Tap Ward and Hung Loc Commune... Accordingly, up to this point, in Vinh City there are currently 3 sources of infection, with the risk of the epidemic spreading and becoming complicated.
The first source of infection was from patient NTC, male, born in 1952.Address: Block 1, Thanh Chuong Town, Thanh Chuong District. On October 11, the patient went to stay at his son's house in Block 5, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City. On October 14, the patient went to Cua Dong General Hospital for examination, where the patient's sample was taken for a rapid test with a positive result. Immediately after that, the patient's sample was taken for testing. On the morning of October 15, the result was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Third source of infectionAfter partially blocking Tien Loc block (Hung Loc commune), Yen Hoa block (Ha Huy Tap ward) and expanding testing, on the morning of October 17, the authoritiesAnother case of NHTS infection detected (male, born 2001)in Tien Loc hamlet, Hung Loc commune.
Patient NHTS is a student who has not been vaccinated against Covid-19. The patient has no connection with previously announced cases. Every week, the patient participates in sports activities with about 10 other people in Block 1, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City.
Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee and comrade Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center, Director of Nghe An Department of Health agreed to direct urgent solutions to prevent and control the epidemic.

Vinh City directs wards and communes to ensure safety in preventing and fighting Covid-19 during the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign; extend the quarantine period for citizens in concentrated quarantine areas where new infections occur. The health sector will focus on providing maximum support to Vinh City in fighting the epidemic in terms of human and material resources to separate F0 from the community as soon as possible.
