Vinh City strengthens epidemic prevention and control measures at markets

It is known that recently, the COVID-19 epidemic situation in Vinh city has been very complicated, the number of infections in the community is increasing day by day. It is worrying that some F0 cases have come to buy and sell goods at many markets in the city. In particular, on June 23 and June 24, 2021, there were cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 doing business and trading at some markets in the city. These cases often go to markets in the area to buy and sell.

Because markets are crowded places, there is a high risk of disease spreading. Vinh City People's Committee requests city departments, units, People's Committees of wards and communes, Market Management Boards, Market Cooperatives, and businesses operating and exploiting markets in the city to carry out urgent tasks, including:

- Disinfect and sterilize the market area.

- Only allow 1 exit and 1 entrance to the market, arrange forces to block other exits and entrances, do not allow customers and small traders to enter or exit at unauthorized entrances.

- Arrange mask sales points, organize body temperature measurements and require hand sanitizer for all traders and customers entering the market.

- Arrange stalls selling essential goods along each aisle in the market, ensuring social distancing (1 stall for business, go through a stall that is not in business, then go to a stall for business).

- Each business location in the market must arrange partitions (plastic, film, etc.) and maintain a minimum distance of 2m between buyers and sellers.

- Direct functional forces to regularly propagate and inspect; require 100% of people entering and participating in activities in the market area to follow the 5K instructions.recommendations of the Ministry of Health: Wear a mask, wash your hands with antiseptic solution and keep a minimum distance of 2m between people, limit the number of people participating in activities in the market area at the same time, strictly follow regulations on disease prevention and control. Strictly handle violations.

- Directing forces to set up checkpoints at the market entrances, requiring people coming to buy and sell at the market to make health declarations before entering the market to effectively serve the tracing, prevention, containment, isolation, and suppression of COVID-19.

- Advise on a plan to issue market entry cards twice a day for each household in the city.

- When there are cases of F0 at the market, the People's Committees of wards and communes, Market Management Boards, Market Cooperatives, and businesses operating and exploiting markets in the area are required to immediately activate the highest level of anti-epidemic measures such as:organize market blockade, requesting competent authorities to support disinfection spraying, organizing rapid testing or testing for small traders at the market,... At the same time, coordinate with competent authorities to conduct investigations and tracing to prevent, isolate, and quarantine subjects with a spirit of urgency and speed, to avoid the disease spreading in the community.
