All night searching and taking people to quarantine in Nghe An

This young man named H. is one of 16 people from Nghe An who flew on the same flight with a passenger who tested positive for nCoV.

In that list, Thanh Tung commune has 2 people, Mr. H. and another person named Ho Van Ninh. On the evening of March 17, this list spread on social networks, many Thanh Tung children shared it, causing some people to be confused and worried. That same night, the Thanh Tung commune Covid-19 Prevention Steering Committee held an urgent meeting, on the one hand, deploying epidemic prevention and control work according to the direction of the district and province, checking the 2 people on the list that had just been sent, and at the same time informing the hamlets about the situation so that people could feel secure.

During the night, Thanh Tung commune officials divided into two groups. The first group searched for Mr. H. and persuaded him to be quarantined. The second group searched for a man named Ho Van Ninh.

If the young man named H. was quickly identified, the man named Ho Van Ninh was truly a “difficult case”. The commune police force coordinated with the hamlets to search, turned over each page of records, checked each person in the commune but there was absolutely no one named Ho Van Ninh. After that, the Steering Committee reported to the district to coordinate with other communes to search.

The quarantine of the man named H. was also difficult because he had not received any information from the Ministry of Health. This young man had a registered residence in Yen Thanh hamlet, Thanh Tung commune, but his family moved to the area bordering Thanh Ha commune to live. When the authorities arrived, he was not at home. His family closed the door and did not cooperate...

Nearly an hour later, the authorities found the young man named H. and it took them an hour to persuade and do ideological work for his family to take him to the commune health station for quarantine. Throughout the night of March 17, all members of the Thanh Tung Commune Steering Committee stayed up almost all night to carry out the next tasks...

The health status of this young man was also widely announced to the people of Thanh Tung commune. Mr. H. is still completely healthy, and his temperature is checked regularly. His food and other daily needs are guaranteed, and his spirit is quite comfortable.

After being quarantined according to regulations, Thanh Tung commune also organized an epidemiological investigation because this person was an F1 subject. Organized propaganda and mobilized people in the F2 and F3 categories to self-isolate at home and monitor health developments...

Mr. Phan Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Thanh Tung Commune People's Committee said that up to now, Mr. H's health is stable. The commune is waiting for the test results to announce to the people. "Currently, in Thanh Tung commune, there is another person who returned from Taiwan and is being quarantined at home. Thanks to proactively taking action early, isolating early and widely announcing information, and doing a good job of propaganda, the mentality of the people in the commune is stable. Everyone is determined to proactively prevent and fight the epidemic and consider this an important and regular task," said Mr. Phan Van Dung.

It is known that not only in Thanh Tung commune but also in some other communes of Thanh Chuong district, the quarantine of people returning from epidemic areas and people belonging to F1 subjects is also carried out promptly and effectively.

In recent times, the entire political system of Nghe An province has been strongly involved in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic. Many communes have proactively implemented quarantine measures when people return from abroad; proactively contacted the District Steering Committee and the Provincial Center for Disease Control to quarantine people returning from epidemic areas or on flights with people who tested positive for nCoV. In particular, the spirit of cooperation and openness of those quarantined in Nghe An province has also been recognized by the authorities.

Previously, Hung Tan commune, Hung Nguyen district also proactively reported and coordinated with Nghe An CDC about 2 cases returning from epidemic areas requesting to be quarantined; Nghe An Department of Health also proactively issued an urgent document searching for 11 Nghe An passengers on flight QR968 to Hanoi who tested positive for Covid-19, although the Ministry of Health has not yet announced official information. This document was sent to the People's Committees of districts, cities, towns, all provincial departments, branches and sectors as well as many related units to join in. Up to now, Nghe An is quarantining and monitoring 941 cases. Of these, 903 cases are quarantined at home and place of residence. Nghe An has not recorded any cases positive for nCoV.
