Awarding the 'For the cause of education' Medal to 40 teachers of Vinh University

Established in 1959, in the context of the country being divided and the economy being severely devastated, Vinh Pedagogical University has constantly strived to improve its quality and expand the number of training programs. In 2001, the Prime Minister signed a decision to change its name toVinh UniversityIn 2011, with its continuous contribution to human resource training and its particularly important position in socio-economic development, the school continued to be included by the Prime Minister in the list of key national universities.

In particular, to prepare new infrastructure and technology resources, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Prime Minister have just agreed to provide medium-term investment capital for 2021-2025 for Vinh University with a budget of 800 billion VND. This is the largest investment project since the school's establishment, providing important financial resources for the school to transform into an innovative and creative university model.

In his speech commemorating the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang - Principal of the school affirmed that, in the face of globalization and the 4.0 industrial revolution, in order to achieve the development goals of the country and economic regions associated with the transformation of the growth model, universities need to transform in a "smart" way to contribute to building a smart society. In 2022, the school created a new "Vision", "to become a smart university, top 500 universities in Asia by 2030, top 1,000 universities in the world by 2045". Along with that is the mission of "training high-quality human resources, being a center for research, innovation, creativity, leading the development of the country".educational developmentand training of the Central region".

Recognizing the achievements that Vinh University has achieved, comrade Nguyen Van Thong gave specific instructions and orientations for the school in the coming time, to achieve the school's development goals.
