Regarding the strike at Viet Glory (Dien Chau): The company has responded in writing to 11 requests of the workers.

As reported, on the afternoon of February 7, 2022, an incident occurred at Viet Glory Company Limited.collective work stoppagewith the participation of nearly 2,500 workers with the content of requesting benefits. Departments and branches of Dien Chau district including People's Committee; Labor Federation; Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; District Police; People's Committee, Dien Truong Commune Police and Economic Department of Nghe An Provincial Police were present to participate in resolving.

Mr. Le Manh Hien - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee directed the establishment of an interdisciplinary working group to inspect and review the policies and regimes that workers proposed to determine right and wrong, from which a written notice was issued to all workers and by all means the company must resolve and respond to the workers' proposals immediately on the afternoon of February 7, 2022 so that on the morning of February 8, all workers can return to work normally.

However, on the morning of February 8, the workers did not go to work but continued to gather outside the Company gate (without any action, without causing traffic jams, without causing disturbances). Although the authorities directly propagandized and persuaded, the workers still did not accept. At 8:30, all the workers left together.

Afterwards, the provincial and district agencies and departments including: Representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade and Nghe An Provincial Police; Comrade Le Manh Hien - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; Representatives of the District Police; Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; District Labor Federation; Leaders and Police of Dien Truong Commune together with the Board of Directors; Trade Union Executive Committee, and relevant departments of the Company held a meeting to discuss handling measures.

Comrade Le Manh Hien - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee chaired the meeting with the following contents: Criticizing Viet Glory Company Limited for not fully implementing the instructions at the meeting on the afternoon of February 7 regarding the issuance of a notice responding to workers' petitions, which content is correct, which content is incorrect, which content needs to be considered in the coming time so that workers know and implement, which led to the situation of gathering outside the gate like this morning (February 8).

Concluding the meeting, comrade Le Manh Hien requested Viet Glory Co., Ltd. to learn from experience and have a cooperative and goodwill attitude with the authorities to work to ensure security and safety, especially the investment environment and epidemic prevention in the district. In addition, the company also needs to collect all the workers' recommendations to specifically respond to the workers in writing and send them to the relevant agencies before 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (February 8, 2022). If not implemented, it will take full responsibility. The company's leadership promised to fully implement the direction of the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee and have a full report.
