Dien Kim is located in a difficult coastal commune, about 5 km northeast of Dien Chau district center. Entering the construction of the new rural area, Dien Kim commune has many difficulties due to its low starting point, criteria requiring large investment resources such as rural traffic infrastructure, and severely degraded works. On the other hand, the commune does not have many large enterprises and production facilities to attract local jobs...

By clearly recognizing its shortcomings and limitations, right from the beginning of implementing the NTM, the locality has focused on removing difficulties, strengthening the solidarity of the political system, effectively integrating investment resources; on the other hand, strengthening propaganda and mobilization to arouse the people's cooperation and contribution.

With the proactive leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the government, the effective coordination of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations, and the consensus of the people, up to now, 19/19 criteria for building new rural areas in the country have been achieved.Acting Kimhas been completed; the rural landscape has improved a lot, the economic and social infrastructure has been invested synchronously, the traffic network has been gradually completed, the communal roads and roads from the communal center to the district roads have been asphalted or concreted to ensure convenient car travel...

The local political situation is stable, people trust the leadership of the Party and the administration of the government... the material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved significantly, the average income per capita has reached 36 million VND/year or more, the poverty rate has decreased sharply, currently only 1.4%...
