Two gold and silver businesses in Nghe An were fined for not suspending operations.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Chau district has just signed a decision to administratively sanction two gold and silver trading enterprises in the area for not suspending operations according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister.

Specifically, at about 3:20 p.m. on April 15, 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control inspection team of Dien Chau district inspected and made a record of administrative violations against NT Private Enterprise, trading in gold and silver, in village 7, Dien Ky commune, Dien Chau district.

On the same day, at 4:45 p.m., the inspection team drew up a record of administrative violations against PV Private Enterprise, trading in gold and silver, in Hamlet 9, Dien Yen Commune, Dien Chau District.

Afterwards, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Chau district signed a decision to administratively fine these two enterprises, each enterprise 15 million VND for not complying with the suspension of business activities according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister.

According to the representative of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Dien Chau district, along with propaganda and reminders, we are determined to strictly and thoroughly handle cases of non-compliance and violation of Directive 16 of the Prime Minister.

Regarding the act of "Failure to comply with the suspension of business operations of non-essential service establishments to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic according to Directive 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister on implementing urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic", this act is regulated in Point c, Clause 4, Article 11 of Decree No. 176/2013/ND-CP dated November 14, 2013 of the Prime Minister regulating administrative sanctions in the health sector, the fine is from 5 to 10 million VND.

However, according to the provisions of Clause 5, Article 4, Decree 176/2013/ND-CP, the fine for organizations is twice the fine for individuals, so the fine for organizations will be from 10 to 20 million VND.
