3 people spreading the news 'Vinh City will apply Directive 16+' were fined 25 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - 3 people who spread the news that Vinh City will practice social distancing according to "Directive 16 +" have just been invited to work by the Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications and issued a decision to punish them.
On the morning of August 20, the Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Nghe An coordinated with the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention to work with 3 individuals: Mr. Ng.TL; Ms. Ng.TG and Ms. VTTH (all 3 residing in Vinh city), about providing and sharing fabricated information causing confusion among the people on their personal Facebook pages.
At the meeting, the Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications imposed administrative fines on these three people with a total amount of 25,000,000 VND.
Previously, on August 19, through the work of controlling information on the network environment, the Department of Information and Communications and Nghe An Provincial Police discovered that on the social network Facebook, there were a number of personal accounts posting information about Vinh city raising the application level of Directive 16 to 16+ with the content "The entire city will be locked down and people's movements will be tightened, community testing will be conducted on a large scale to separate F0 from the community! Only the anti-epidemic forces will be allowed to operate on the streets, the rest will be fined!”.

Determining that this is fabricated information causing panic among the people, affecting the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in Nghe An province, the Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Nghe An, leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police have directed the Department Inspectorate and the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention to verify and strictly handle violators.
