Rejecting rumors that Vinh City has many positive cases of Covid-19

Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control informed: As of 11:30 a.m. on June 14, Nghe An still had only 1 positive case in Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City. Information about the number of other cases is not accurate.

Rapidly tracing, by noon today, the authorities have collected more than 4,000 samples and investigated 9 F1s related to the NTM case. All of these samples will be subjected to molecular biological testing, not rapid testing. Thus, at least by the end of this afternoon, there will be partial results.

After the appearance of the NTM case, this morning, many fake news about the increasing number of cases appeared on social media groups, causing panic among many people. Many people were so worried that they called and texted hotlines, phone numbers of authorities and individuals in charge of disease prevention and control.

Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh suggested that people should not panic or worry too much; please strictly follow the "5K" recommendations and epidemic prevention and control regulations of the steering committees at all levels./.
