In 2018, officers, reporters and employees of Nghe An Newspaper actively participated in social charity activities such as: Helping to support the poor commune of Xieng My (as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee with a total value of over 110 million VND; encouraging and supporting Captain Nguyen Dinh Tai - Provincial Border Guard (injured during a drug crime raid in Ky Son, amount of 25 million VND); Coordinating with Golden City to give gifts to 4 especially difficult cases and 2 seriously wounded soldiers on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), giving gifts to 2 orphaned students, with especially difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties to study well in Vinh City and Hung Nguyen with a total amount of 60 million VND.

The Youth Union of Nghe An Newspaper presented Tet gifts to Luong Thi Hien Nay, a 7th grade student (Xieng My Commune - Tuong Duong) who is in difficult circumstances and was supported by the Youth Union of Nghe An Newspaper; In coordination with a number of businesses and VEC Stars Group, they presented 279 warm coats and 2 water purifiers to Xieng My Kindergarten. In addition, Nghe An Newspaper also mobilized businesses inside and outside the province to support over 100 million VND to help poor people in the province celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Nghe An Newspaper also coordinated social charity activities with Tecco Group to give scholarships to 30 orphaned students and those with especially difficult circumstances in the province (10 million VND each); surveyed and planned to build a bridge through Thin and Con Cuong villages for students and villagers to facilitate transportation in the near future.
