Emergency arrest of inter-provincial buffalo theft gang from Nghe An to Nam Dinh

Previously, Do Luong District Police received a crime report from Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh (born in 1985), residing in Hamlet 6, Dai Son Commune, Do Luong District, regarding the content: On August 22, 2020, his family lost 06 buffaloes, with an estimated property value of nearly 200 million VND.

The task force learned that a group of three people were currently trading buffaloes of unknown origin in Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province, including buffaloes with characteristics similar to those stolen in Dai Son commune. After having sufficient grounds to confirm that the group of people were the ones who stole Nguyen Khac Thanh's buffalo, the task force decided to crack the case.

On August 23, 2020, in Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province, while the subjects were conducting a buffalo trading transaction, Do Luong district police urgently arrested Vu Van Phan (born in 1996), residing in Soc Son district, Hanoi city and Truong Anh Quan (born in 2001), residing in Tam Thanh commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province for the act oftheft of property. Confiscated exhibits include: 04 buffaloes.

Continuing to expand the investigation, Do Luong District Police seized 2 more buffaloes (already sold) and some other related evidence. Through the investigation with the arrested subjects and related documents, the Investigation Agency proved and clarified that the subject who transported all the above buffaloes (6 buffaloes) for Phan and Quan to sell in Nam Dinh was Nguyen Van Huan (born in 1994), residing in Hamlet 6, Dai Son Commune, Do Luong District). Immediately after that, the Investigation Agency arrested Nguyen Van Huan to continue the investigation.

After being arrested, the subjects confessed that at the end of July 2020, Vu Van Phan, Nguyen Van Huan, and Truong Anh Quan discussed going to Nghe An to...buffalo thiefThey assigned Huan to find a place to steal, Quan to prepare a truck to transport the buffalo, and Phan to find a buyer.

On August 22, 2020, Quan and Huan from Nam Dinh province entered Dai Son commune to steal 06 buffaloes from Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh and took them to Nam Dinh province. While in the process of buying and selling 04 buffaloes, they were arrested by Do Luong district police. The remaining 02 buffaloes were successfully sold by the subjects for 62 million VND and were also seized by the police.
Do Luong District Police have confiscated all 6 buffaloes and continue to investigate and expand the case.
