Provincial Party Secretary: Building new rural areas is essentially making the countryside better.

Pay more attention to agricultural and rural issues

At the conference, 16 voters made recommendations to National Assembly deputies on issues related to people's lives and socio-economic development as well as the implementation of Party policies and State laws.

Voter Nguyen Viet Ho, Dong Trach hamlet, Hung Thanh commune, reported that the road project to Khe Ram resettlement area for 37 households is currently unfinished, traffic is difficult, especially during the rainy season when students have a hard time traveling.

“In Hung Thanh, a purely agricultural commune, people’s lives still face many difficulties. A current reality is that people are not interested in agricultural production due to low efficiency. It is recommended that the State consider balancing supply and demand, orienting the market so that people can feel secure in production; supporting investment in building models to convert crop structure, linking with businesses to increase product value so that people can develop the economy and improve their lives” - voter Nguyen The Toan proposed.

Voters of Hung Thanh commune requested the State to pay attention to the regime for preschool teachers, the elderly, and environmental pollution due to pesticide residues; requested to tighten investment in projects; many areas of protective forests converted for production affect the ecological environment.

Voters' opinions suggested paying attention to arranging English teachers for rural areas; improving the quality of medicine for medical examination and social insurance; shortcomings after merging hamlets; supporting local irrigation; reviewing records of implementing policies for people with revolutionary contributions; work on handing over and returning low-voltage power grids in rural areas; the situation of increasing land prices through land auctions causing difficulties for people to buy land...

Hung Thanh is a mountainous commune of Yen Thanh district, with a total area of ​​1,574.92 hectares, of which mountainous area accounts for 2/3; population is 1,434 households with 6,643 people. The Party Committee has 241 party members operating in 11 party cells. In 2015, Hung Thanh achieved the new rural commune standard. In 2019, the average income per capita reached 39 million VND/person/year; to date, the poverty rate is 2.07%.

Continue to improve new rural criteria

Receiving and explaining the opinions of voters in Yen Thanh district, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh assessed: Yen Thanh being recognized as a new rural district is a great effort of the Party Committee, government and local people.

According to the Provincial Party Secretary, new rural areas are a process of making the countryside better and have no stopping point, so localities need to strive to continue improving the criteria.

Regarding the voters' proposal to strengthen the management of pesticide trading, there must be clear regulations on pesticide sellers. The National Assembly delegation will accept the proposal to the National Assembly to legalize and provide specific and strict regulations.

Regarding land auctions, pushing up prices due to land brokers, making it difficult for local people to buy residential land, the Provincial Party Secretary said that in the past, the province has had and continues to implement many measures to prevent the rampant situation of land brokers. At the same time, there are regulations for interspersed and unprofitable land areas not to be auctioned so that people have the conditions to buy residential land.

Some opinions and recommendations of voters of Hung Thanh commune were explained and clarified by representatives of departments, branches, and leaders of Yen Thanh district and the Provincial Party Secretary. For opinions beyond the authority, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will receive and synthesize the recommendations to relevant ministries, branches, and the National Assembly for consideration.
