Non-essential services in Vinh city comply with closure order to prevent epidemic

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, owner of a gym in Vinh City, said: "My facility has 20-30 people coming to the gym every day. As soon as I received the notice of temporary closure, I sent a message on Zalo group to let the students know and closed the gym on the afternoon of May 6. All staff and students agreed to join hands with the community to prevent the epidemic...".

Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Le Loi Ward is one of the streets with the most billiard parlors in the area.Vinh CityHowever, all shops are currently closed or temporarily suspended on the morning of May 7.

The owner of a billiards shop on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street said: "Because my business is attached to my house, I cannot close it. However, we have announced that we will stop operating, will not accept customers, and will strictly implement epidemic prevention measures."

In Ben Thuy ward, one of the localities with many non-essential businesses in Vinh city, although on the afternoon of May 6 there was still a business location operating, by the morning of May 7, these locations had basically closed.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huan - Chairman of Ben Thuy Ward People's Committee said: "On the afternoon of May 6, we sent a document to the blocks and widely announced on loudspeakers so that businesses could grasp the spirit of direction and seriously implement prevention and control solutions.Covid-19 epidemic. Up to now, no facility has been found to be in violation."

Through discussion, Vinh City leaders said: Currently, the City People's Committee has sent an official dispatch to the wards and communes, requesting the forces to strengthen inspections. If any establishment is on the list of temporarily suspended businesses but still deliberately violates, it will be strictly handled according to regulations.

Previously,People's Committee of Nghe An provincehas issued urgent dispatch No. 2732/UBND-VX dated May 6, 2021 on temporarily suspending some non-essential services and continuing to strictly implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. Accordingly, the temporarily suspended services include: Karaoke, bars, dance clubs, saunas, massage, gyms, yoga, billiards, electronic game centers, and public internet access points.

According to the provisions of Point c, Clause 4, Article 11, Decree No. 176/2013/ND-CP dated November 14, 2013 of the Government, the act of "Failure to implement the Decision to apply measures to temporarily suspend business and service activities in public places to prevent and fight the epidemic" has a fine of 5 to 10 million VND.
