On the afternoon of September 7, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Commander of the Center for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province had a meeting with Que Phong district when this locality had just had 05 cases of community Covid-19 infection.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the health sector and Nghe An Center for Disease Control.

5 patients in the community with many high-risk F1s

According to the report of Que Phong district: On the morning of September 7, in the districtQue Phong5 infected patients have been detectedCovid-19in the community in Cho Hamlet Area (in Lien Hop Village), Tri Le Commune. These 5 patients are from the same family, including husband, wife and 3 children.

Noteworthy: The families of these patients own a passenger car (Tuan Huong) that runs on two fixed routes: Ky Son - Tri Le - Vinh and Tri Le - Vinh; it has carried many passengers. The family owns a grocery store, selling to many people in the area and neighboring localities. (The Tri Le Market area is the commercial center of the three districts of Que Phong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son). On September 6, the two patients, who are students, went to school at Tri Le 1 Primary School…

Currently, Que Phong district has investigated and traced 155 F1 cases; including 35 high-risk F1 cases, 9 F1 cases in Nhon Mai and Huu Khuong communes (Tuong Duong district), 65 F1 cases are students.

Que Phong district has blockaded and blocked the entrances to the Cho hamlet area and Tri Le commune; requested households not to travel, each family to stay at home; conducted Covid-19 testing for F1 cases and 91 households with 387 people in the Cho hamlet area; deployed notices to find people related to the Cho hamlet area... The district also promptly informed Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts about the epidemic situation.

At the meeting, the leaders of Que Phong district requested the Nghe An Province Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center and the Provincial People's Committee to allow social distancing according to Directive 16/CT-TTg for the entire Tri Le commune and implement Directive 16/CT-TTg to improve the Cho hamlet area; support Que Phong district with human and material resources to prevent and control the epidemic in the context of the number of positive cases continuing to increase.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Commander of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center of Nghe An province praised and highly appreciated the proactiveness of Que Phong district in handling and responding to the epidemic situation; at the same time, he also stated: The risk of Covid-19 spreading in Tri Le commune is very high when there are many close and related cases.

To prevent the Covid-19 epidemic, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh requested Que Phong district to continue to step up investigation and tracing; immediately apply social distancing and isolation measures; take early and thorough testing samples of F1 cases; conduct PCR testing of the entire Cho hamlet area, take rapid testing samples in the surrounding area; and disinfect and sterilize the entire Cho hamlet area.

In addition, Que Phong district also needs to immediately carry out centralized isolation and home isolation for related subjects; pay special attention to ensuring the isolation of F1 cases who are students; focus on ensuring conditions, implementing epidemic prevention regulations, and avoiding cross-infection in quarantine areas.

The district must be proactive, promote the spirit of "4 on-the-spot"; mobilize the entire political and social system to participate, rely on the people to fight the epidemic; promote the function and effectiveness of the Community Covid Team; ensure good security, order and social security.

Que Phong district needs to immediately establish a command post in Tri Le commune, led by a Vice Chairman of the district People's Committee, to closely monitor and direct epidemic prevention work; promote propaganda work in many forms so that people in the whole district understand and comply with epidemic prevention regulations, and proactively go to medical facilities when showing signs of abnormal health.
