At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Loc - Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Education and Training presented Decision No. 1968/QD-BGDDT recognizing the position of Rector of Vinh University for the 2020 - 2025 term to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Vinh University expressed his wish to join the school, unite, foster and enhance the brand to bring Vinh University to the region and the world, to be in the top 500 universities in Asia, worthy of the tradition of "The red flag in the Soviet homeland", "Hero of Labor in the renovation period".

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Loc - Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Education and Training presented Decision No. 1626/QD-BGDDT on the recognition of the University Council and Chairman of the University Council of Vinh University for the term 2020 - 2025.

Accordingly, the Vinh University Council for the 2020-2025 term consists of 19 members; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Party Committee Secretary for the 2020-2025 term, Vice Rector for the 2015-2020 term is Chairman of the University Council.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the leadership role of the Party Committee, the School Council and the School Board in the past time. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Vinh University for the 2020-2025 term, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Chairman of the Board of Directors affirmed that he will continuously learn, research, consult with staff, students and stakeholders to build the school's development strategy.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang was born on January 26, 1977. Hometown: Huong Son - Ha Tinh; successfully defended his PhD thesis in Physics at the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2008 (age 31); was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2015 (age 38) and the title of Professor in 2019 (age 42).
