Con Cuong voters fear the risk of disease outbreak due to severe water shortage
(Baonghean.vn) - The serious shortage of domestic water, which creates the risk of disease outbreaks, is an issue that voters in Mau Duc and Don Phuc communes have reflected and recommended to the provincial People's Council delegates.

Implementing the program of meeting voters before the 9th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, on the afternoon of June 14, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee had a meeting with voters of the communes: Mau Duc and Don Phuc (Con Cuong).
Also attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Con Cuong District Party Committee; Vi Van Son - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Con Cuong District People's Committee.

At the conference, voters focused on petitioning about the lack of domestic water in the area, especially in Mau Duc commune. Accordingly, Mau Duc commune currently has 8 villages, of which 3 villages are seriously lacking clean water for daily use, including Ke Sung village, Ke Noc village and Ke Trang village.

Due to the lack of water, households have to go into the forest to find water from streams, while others have to ask for water from neighboring villages. Due to the lack of clean water sources, many households are worried about the outbreak of diseases, affecting people's health. Voters hope that authorities and sectors will have solutions to help people have a source of water for daily use and a stable life in the long term.
Voters of Mau Duc and Don Phuc communes also made recommendations on issues related to re-issuing forest land use right certificates according to Decree 163 of the Government; policies for people with revolutionary contributions and frontline workers; solutions to handle heavy-duty vehicles carrying raw materials to protect traffic routes; and authorities to pay attention to repairing and upgrading the power grid system to ensure people's lives.

After listening to voters' opinions, the provincial and district People's Council delegates explained issues and recommendations within their authority. For other contents, the delegates will fully synthesize them to submit to the provincial People's Council and departments and branches for consideration and timely resolution.
