During the past term, the total added value at current prices of the Town reached over 707 billion VND, an increase of nearly 400 billion VND compared to 2015. The average income per capita was 70.73 million VND/person/year, an increase of nearly 32 million VND compared to 2015. The annual growth rate of industry and handicrafts reached over 20%, estimated to reach nearly 252 billion VND in 2020, an increase of nearly 118 billion VND compared to 2015. The basic construction work was focused on, during the term, 50 projects were built with a cost of over 81 billion VND, of which the people contributed 10 billion VND.

Do Luong town is an excellent educational unit, with 6 national excellent students, 39 provincial excellent students, and 586 district excellent students. Implementing the socialization of education, during the term, it mobilized contributions and sponsorships of nearly 5 billion 190 million VND. Building cultural and sports facilities that meet the standards of the Ministry of Culture. The quality of medical examination and treatment has always been improved, in 5 years, 40,750 patients have been examined. The poverty rate is only 0.36%, down 0.64% compared to 2015.

Also during the past term, the town's national defense and security were always maintained, and combat readiness was strictly implemented. There were no hot spots in the area, no complicated gathering places that caused public outrage. The town was evaluated by superiors as the leading flag in the movement of the entire people to protect national security.

Regarding Party building, the Party Committee always improves the quality of activities, leadership and direction. Upholding the principles of democratic centralism, collective leadership and individual responsibility. The activities of the People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have made many new strides.

Entering the new term, the Party Committee strives for a total food output of over 419 tons, a total fish and pig output of 65 tons. Total budget revenue is over 106 billion VND. The rate of cultural families reaches 95%. Schools and medical stations maintain national standards. Complete civilized urban areas by the end of 2020, strive to achieve model urban areas by 2025. The poverty rate is 0.3%. Develop 6 to 7 party members every year, 10/10 Party cells complete their tasks well, every year 2 Party cells complete their tasks excellently. 100% of key officials and civil servants have university and intermediate political qualifications. The Congress focused on discussing and proposing many practical solutions to complete the targets and goals set in the new term.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Le Minh Giang - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council praised and acknowledged the results that the Party Committee and people of the Town have achieved in the past term. At the same time, he hoped that in the new term, the Party Committee would focus on developing production according to the value chain, creating key products, ensuring domestic consumption standards and aiming for export. Proactively advising and proposing policies and mechanisms to attract investors to develop modern trade and services. Focus on innovating and improving urban planning and management. Promote the development of Cau Dau urban area, Dong Thi Tran, Trade Center combined with Do Luong traditional market. Build flower gardens and parks to serve cultural and sports activities for the people. Improve the quality of cultural and social activities. Well implement the grassroots democracy regulations. Take care of ensuring social order and safety. Do a good job of Party building and political system building, improve the capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee and Party Cells.

The Congress elected 12 comrades to the Executive Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, and elected 6 comrades to attend the 21st District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. Comrade Truong Cong Thao was re-elected as Secretary of the Town Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
