Party Congress of Hung Dao Commune (Hung Nguyen) for the term 2020 - 2025

On the morning of March 20, the Party Committee of Hung Dao Commune (Hung Nguyen District) held a congress for the 2020-2025 term to set out directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security, and Party building in the next 5 years. This is the first grassroots congress of the Hung Nguyen Party Committee.

Implementing the Resolution of the 28th Party Congress of the commune, on the basis of creatively applying the Party and State's guidelines and policies to the specific conditions of the locality; associated with promoting democracy and solidarity within the Party and among the people; promoting the responsibility and creativity of the team of cadres and civil servants at the commune level, especially the heads of Party committees, authorities and organizations; in the 2015 - 2020 term, Hung Dao has achieved and exceeded 17/21 targets set in the resolution.

Notably, the average economic growth rate for the whole period was 9%; average income per capita reached 47.5 million VND/year. Hung Dao was recognized as a commune meeting NTM standards in 2016 and continues to build advanced NTM.

Through the movement to build new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, during his term, Hung Dao mobilized a total of 34.5 billion VND in resources to build infrastructure; of which people contributed nearly 7 billion VND.

Poverty reduction has received attention with many solutions and measures, creating conditions for the poor to sustainably reduce poverty. The poverty rate decreased from 5.1% (2015) to 1.9% (2019).

The Party Committee has paid comprehensive attention to Party building work, from ideological work; organizing cadres and party members; inspection and supervision; mass mobilization... The leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization have been increasingly improved, implementing well the principle of "collective leadership, individual responsibility".

The Party Congress of Hung Dao commune for the 2020-2025 term discussed and agreed on directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security, and Party building work in the next 5 years.

Accordingly, the Party Committee of the commune identified 4 breakthroughs: Rapidly develop infrastructure; improve rural landscape and environment; improve the quality of cadres and civil servants; improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the political system. Strive to achieve the model new rural standards; the commune has a comprehensive movement and is among the top in the district.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Hoang Van Phi - Secretary of the District Party Committee highly appreciated the promotion of the tradition of solidarity, timely grasp of the policies of the superiors to creatively apply them to local practices to organize effective leadership and direction, becoming one of the leading commune-level units in the patriotic emulation movement of Hung Nguyen district.

The District Party Secretary also requested that the Party Committee of the commune in the coming term continue to enhance the leadership role and fighting strength of the Party Committee, promote the implementation of the Central Resolution 4 (term XI, term XII), in conjunction with Directive 05 of the Politburo; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; promote democracy, enhance the role and responsibility of cadres and Party members, especially leaders, ensure comprehensive leadership and direction, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and targets set by the Party Congress of the commune for the 2020-2025 term.

Improve the efficiency of operations as well as coordination between the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations, truly promote the people's mastery in all areas of socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security; strive to achieve a model new rural area by the end of the term.

In the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the congress elected the Party Executive Committee of the commune for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 14 comrades; at the same time, the Party Secretary was directly elected at the congress.
