Speed up site clearance for North-South Expressway construction
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the direction of comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the meeting to listen to and give opinions on the implementation of site clearance for the North-South Expressway project through Nghe An province on the afternoon of August 21.
Many resettlement areas serving land clearance are behind schedule.
On the afternoon of August 21, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial working delegation inspected the quality and progress of resettlement areas, site clearance work, and relocation of technical infrastructure works serving the site clearance of the North-South Expressway project through Nghe An.
The delegation inspected the resettlement areas of Dien Phu and Dien Loi communes (Dien Chau), Quynh Tan commune resettlement area (Quynh Luu) and Quynh Trang commune resettlement area (Hoang Mai town). Currently, the progress of implementation in the resettlement areas is behind schedule.

Dien Loi Commune Resettlement Area (Dien Chau) signed a contract with a construction contractor in August 2020, has completed 2.1/5.2 billion VND, reaching 40% of the contract value; currently implementing ground leveling work, expected to be handed over on November 15, 2020.
Dien Phu 1 resettlement area (Dien Chau), signed a contract with a construction contractor in August 2020, has completed 0.3/1.5 billion VND, reaching 20% of the contract value; currently implementing ground leveling work, expected handover date is November 1, 2020.

Checking at Quynh Tan Resettlement Area (Quynh Luu) started construction in May 2020, 8.7/10.95 billion VND has been constructed, reaching 80% of the contract value. Leveling and basic ditch construction have been completed; concrete is being poured on the roadbed and electric pole foundation. Expected handover date is September 10, 2020.

At the resettlement area of Quynh Trang commune (Hoang Mai town), construction has just started on August 14, 2020, 0.15/7.6 billion VND has been constructed, reaching 2% of the contract value. Currently leveling the ground. The infrastructure construction progress is expected to be completed before October 15, 2020.

After inspecting the resettlement areas, in the afternoon of the same day, comrade Le Hong Vinh chaired a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the implementation of site clearance for the North-South expressway project through Nghe An province.

At the meeting, after listening to representatives of localities, relevant departments and branches report on the implementation status, progress and difficulties and obstacles in the area.
Concluding the meeting, comrade Le Hong Vinh acknowledged the efforts of localities and departments in supporting, resettling and clearing the land. At the same time, he affirmed that site clearance is one of the most important steps in implementing the project, contributing to completing the project on schedule.

Accordingly, it is recommended that relevant parties review the problems, complete the proposed documents, especially pay attention to burying power cables, and handle problems in moving high-voltage power lines. Districts need to complete the inventory of land and crops to approve compensation by early September 2020. By September 30, 2020, 60% of the land acquisition work on the entire route must be achieved. It is recommended that agencies, sectors and localities continue to closely coordinate to ensure the project's progress.
The North-South Expressway project through Nghe An province is about 87.84 km long, including two projects Nghi Son - Dien Chau and Dien Chau - Bai Vot, passing through Hoang Mai town and the districts: Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Hung Nguyen.
The number of resettled households that must move in Nghe An to serve the construction of the North-South Expressway is 606 households. Of which: Hoang Mai Town has 148 households, Quynh Luu has 44 households, Dien Chau has 119 households, Yen Thanh has 33 households, Nghi Loc has 51 households, Hung Nguyen has 211 households.
