Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation visited and congratulated Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long - Bishop of Vinh Diocese on the occasion of the beginning of Spring Nham Dan 2022.

Sending best New Year wishes to Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long and priests, dignitaries, and Catholics in the province, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in 2021, despite many difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the province has achieved many outstanding results. Entering 2022, the pandemic situation continues to be complicated, but the budget revenue in January is quite good; people's lives are increasingly improved; security and defense are maintained.

In particular, during the Lunar New Year 2022, all levels and sectors have paid attention to and taken care of people's lives, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the Spring Festival; well implement policies for people with meritorious services, social protection, ensure social security; take care of policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances. People celebrate the New Year and Spring happily, healthily, safely and economically.

However, the Covid-19 epidemic situation in the first days of the Year of the Tiger has become complicated, with the number of infections increasing. The reason is that the number of people returning to the province from epidemic areas has increased and the infection rate is high; a number of cases have started to show symptoms and are recorded due to contact with sources of infection in the community before and during Tet.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh expressed his thanks for the active cooperation of the Bishop's Office and Catholics in the work of epidemic prevention and control in the past time and hoped to continue to receive more active cooperation so that this work can be effective, especially in raising people's awareness and consciousness in complying with regulations on epidemic prevention and control, strictly implementing the "5K" recommendations of the Ministry of Health. Thereby, helping the province have conditions to successfully implement the goals and targets of socio-economic development in 2022.

Thanking the delegation for their good wishes, Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long expressed his good feelings and appreciation for the efforts and creativity of the Provincial Party Committee and provincial government in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and socio-economic development.

Entering 2022, Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long wished Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to achieve greater and more outstanding results than in 2021. At the same time, he respectfully sent to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee his best wishes for peace and happiness.

Here, comrade Le Hong Vinh sent his best New Year wishes to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province and monks, nuns and Buddhists on the occasion of the Year of the Tiger 2022.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in 2021 and on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2022, all levels and sectors have made efforts to take care of policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, and the poor to have a warm and full Tet, leaving no one behind. During Tet, security and order were ensured, goods were fully supplied, and people had a happy and healthy Tet.

Appreciating the important contributions of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee in social security work, Covid-19 prevention and control in the past time, comrade Le Hong Vinh hopes to continue to receive more active support and cooperation in the work of epidemic prevention and control and poverty reduction in the coming time.

Venerable Thich Chi Khong - Standing Member, Head of the Education Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province, on behalf of Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu - Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province, thanked the provincial leaders for their good wishes and sent wishes of health, peace and happiness to the provincial leaders.

On the same afternoon, the provincial delegation also visited Can Linh Pagoda to visit and congratulate Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Nhan - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sent best wishes on the occasion of the Spring of Nham Dan 2022 and hoped that Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Nhan would continue to contribute more to social security work in the province.
