With the terrain being mainly mountainous, sloping land and being divided by a dense network of rivers and streams, people in the commune still lack sustainable livelihoods to stabilize their lives. Therefore, the total number of poor households in the commune is still high with 287 households out of a total of 555 households in the commune, accounting for over 38%. The number of near-poor households remains over 26%.
