Nearly 3,000 candidates took the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and Vinh University for the Gifted.

In which, the specialized English, specialized Math and specialized Literature classes are the specialized classes with the largest number of candidates registered.

This year, candidates applying to specialized schools only have to take one specialized subject. The remaining exam scores are taken from the results of the 10th grade entrance exam. This year, the two schools still hold the exam on the same day and with the same exam questions. Of which, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted enrolls students in 11 specialized subjects with 2 exam locations: Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and Huynh Thuc Khang High School. Vinh University High School for the Gifted enrolls students in 7 specialized subjects.

Because the exams were held at two specialized schools on the same day, some exam locations today did not have enough candidates to take the exam. The number of candidates reached about 85% of the candidates registered to take the exam. Because the exam was held during a complicated epidemic, safety work at the exam locations was strictly implemented.
