Nghe An Provincial People's Council dismissed and elected additional members of the Provincial People's Committee.
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Council of Nghe An province has dismissed 1 member of the Provincial People's Committee due to retirement according to the regime; at the same time, elected an additional member of the Provincial People's Committee in charge of the Science and Technology sector.
On the afternoon of September 11, the People's Council of Nghe An province, term XVIII, 2021-2026, held the 15th session (special session). At the session, the Provincial People's Council carried out personnel work within its authority.
Comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee; delegates of the Provincial People's Council from 21 delegation groups.
Based on the Proposal of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council voted to dismiss Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh - former Director of the Department of Science and Technology - from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, due to retirement according to the prescribed regime.
The Provincial People's Council also voted to elect an additional member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Quy Linh - Director of the Department of Science and Technology, assigned to be in charge of the Science and Technology sector.
Previously, on July 31, 2023, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung signed Decision No. 2289/QD-UBND on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Quy Linh - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Yen Thanh district to hold the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology, from August 1, 2023.
