Students in a small village in Con Cuong wade through a fierce stream to get to school.
(Baonghean.vn) - Ke Tre village, Thach Ngan commune is one of the most difficult areas in Con Cuong district in terms of transportation, making it very difficult for children to go to school to learn, especially during the rainy season.
These days, to go to the central school, middle school students in Ke Tre village, Thach Ngan commune have to roll up their pants and risk crossing a 10 meter wide ravine to get to school.

Many parents had to go all the way to the ravine to help their children cross. Each time they crossed the ravine, the children's clothes were soaked, but that did not stop their determination to go to school.
Ms. Luong Thi Lieu - a resident of Ke Tre village shared: "When the water level rises too high, the whole village is isolated. When the water level falls, although they know it is dangerous, the people and students in the village have to risk their lives to cross the stream because there is no other way to go. They just hope that one day soon, the dream of a bridge will come true."
Ke Tre village is more than 7 km from the center of Thach Ngan commune, the village has over 80 households with 400 people. To get to the villages outside the commune center, people only have one way to cross this stream.

Mr. Ngan Xuan Nhung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Ngan commune said: Every time there is a flood, the local government must put up danger signs and warn people not to go through.Normally, secondary school students in Ke Tre all stay in boarding schools, but because the beginning of the school year is not stable, they go home and return during the day.
The commune has asked the school board to have a plan to let the children stay home from school for the next few days, otherwise, they must assign teachers to coordinate with some parents to take the children through the safe passage.
