More than 180 Buddhists of Co Am Pagoda participated in voluntary blood donation

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 20, Co Am Pagoda in Dien Minh Commune, Dien Chau District coordinated with the District Red Cross Society, the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, to organize a voluntary blood donation festival - "Red Sunday" 2019.

The blood donation session took place on the first floor of Dai Hung Bao Dien, Co Am Pagoda, with more than 300 Buddhists from inside and outside Dien Chau district attending, of which 186 people donated blood. At the end of the blood donation session, the amount of blood collected by the organizing committee was 202 units of blood.

Venerable Thich Tam Thanh - abbot of Co Am pagoda said: Voluntary blood donation is a good thing. Previously, the pagoda had intended to organize a blood donation festival like this, but now it has the conditions to do so. This is the first time Co Am pagoda has organized voluntary blood donation.
