Nghe An mountainous district sets up checkpoints to prevent Covid-19 epidemic
(Baonghean.vn) - Tuong Duong mountainous district set up medical checkpoints to prevent and control Covid-19 at the gateway to the district and 17 checkpoints in 17 communes.
On February 6, the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district said that to be proactive in work,prevention of Covid-19 epidemic, this locality has set up a medical checkpoint to prevent and control epidemics at the gateway of the district.

The quarantine checkpoint is located on National Highway 7, through Bai Xa village, Tam Quang commune, with the participation of medical forces, police and Tam Quang commune officials. The task of the force at the checkpoint is to check and control vehicles carrying people from other regions, determine the schedule of activities of all people and vehicles entering the district, especially people from epidemic areas. All must declare their health according to regulations; measure body temperature, and have initial health checks for screening, detection and classification.

According to records at the quarantine checkpoint in Bai Xa village, Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong) on the afternoon of February 5, all vehicles entering the district were required by the traffic police to stop for inspection and medical declaration, including cargo vehicles and motorbikes.
Mr. Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of Tuong Duong District Medical Center said that this checkpoint will operate 24/7. During the inspection, if any cases of contact with Covid-19 patients (called F1) are detected, they will be required to be quarantined at the district's quarantine facility and have their samples taken for testing.
In case of contact with F1 (called F2), instructions and requirements for home isolation and health status notification to the commune health station twice a day and must notify the commune People's Committee, commune health station when there are signs of illness such as cough, fever, etc. After taking the steps without any suspicious signs, the person will be required to sign a commitment to implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. Currently, Tuong Duong district has established a hotline of the Deputy Director of the District Health Center to advise people when needed.
In addition to the quarantine checkpoint established by the district in Bai Xa village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong has 17 quarantine checkpoints in 17 communes in the district. All operate 24/7.
