Opening classes to teach Nghe Tinh folk songs to students
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 15, in Yen Thanh and Do Luong districts, the Department of Culture and Sports organized the opening of a class to teach Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs to students of primary and secondary schools in the area.
Attending the opening ceremony of the class in Yen Thanh district were comrade Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; representatives of the provincial Traditional Arts Center; Department of Culture - Information, Yen Thanh district Culture - Sports and Communication Center; artists of the provincial Traditional Arts Center and many students and parents in the district.

The Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Teaching Class in Yen Thanh District has over 40 students of all ages studying at primary and secondary schools in the district who have passed the selection round. The class is held for 12 days, starting from August 15, and is held on Saturdays and Sundays in August and September.
In these classes, students will be introduced by artists from the Nghe An Provincial Traditional Arts Center about the characteristics and nature of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs; guided in practicing Vi and Giam melodies; stage plays... to concretize the goals of the Project "Preserving and Promoting the Heritage Value of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Songs", a program to bring Vi and Giam folk songs into schools of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

Thereby, searching and discovering students with musical talent, good voice, and love for traditional arts to be nurtured, creating a source of future and long-term actors for professional art units. At the same time, building an artistic nucleus for the local folk song movement, lighting up the passion of students for the cultural heritage of Nghe An folk songs.

This is 1 of 3 classes directed by the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province to organize classes to teach Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs in the province in 2023.

During the 12-day course, 25 students participating in the class will be taught by experienced artists who are knowledgeable about the province's Vi and Giam folk songs, including: Teaching practice of melodies such as: Vi do dua song La, Vi do dua song Lam, Ho dam dat de dy, Ho xeo go. Introducing the characteristics and properties of Vi melodies; teaching practice of melodies: Vi phuong vai Nam Dan, Vi phuong vai Truong Luu, Vi do dua chuyen phuong vai, Vi leo non, Vi dong ram. Introducing the characteristics and properties of Giam and Ho melodies; teaching practice of melodies: Giam ve, Giam noi, Giam xam, Giam ru, Xam Nghe (Xam luon), Giam cua quyen, Ho do, Ho khoan di duong, Ho tren song, Ho boi thuyen. Introducing adapted melodies; teaching practice of melodies: Hat quyen, Tu Hoa, Xam thuong (Xam thap an).
In addition, there are works with new lyrics, antiphons, animations, and children's plays.
