Opening of the Congress of Delegates of Hung Nguyen District Party Committee for the term 2020 - 2025

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and directed the congress. Attending the congress were comrade Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Cao Thi Hien - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Bui Thanh An - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee. Also attending were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

DEVELOPMENT WITH MANY BRIGHT SPOTS

After the solemn ceremony, the congress spent time listening to the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee, term XXVIII, 2015 - 2020, present the Political Report and Review Report at the congress.

The reports all emphasized the innovation, creativity, flexibility, sensitivity and adherence to reality of the Party Committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations from the district to the grassroots level in leading, directing and organizing the implementation of policies of the Party at higher levels as well as local political tasks.

Accordingly, policies and tasks are systematically implemented through key programs and projects, closely following policies, being close to reality and having practical impacts on people's lives.

Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen and innovate propaganda, mobilization, and dialogue with cadres, party members, and people to create consensus for implementation; associated with the exemplary role of cadres and party members "saying goes hand in hand with doing", creating persuasion and spreading widely among the people.

Therefore, the results achieved in the 2015 - 2020 term in Hung Nguyen are quite comprehensive. The average annual economic growth rate in the 2016 - 2020 period is estimated at 9.16%. The average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 46 million VND, 1.88 times higher than in 2015.

The economic structure has shifted in the right direction; in which agricultural, forestry and fishery production has developed towards improving productivity, quality and efficiency. Hung Nguyen has built a commercial rice production area with a total area of ​​5,000 - 5,900 ha/year; associated with the construction of a number of high-tech application models in the production of high-quality and safe vegetables.

Industry, construction, services and trade have also grown quite rapidly. In the past 5 years, 150 new businesses have been developed in the district, bringing the total number of businesses in the district to nearly 370.

The work of building new rural areas has been directed strongly by all levels. It is expected that by the end of 2020, there will be 4 more communes meeting new rural standards, bringing the total number of communes meeting new rural standards in the district to 17/17 communes, an increase of 10 communes compared to 2015, the district will basically meet the new rural criteria in 2020.

The cultural and social fields continue to receive attention and have made much progress with 80% of schools meeting national standards; 17/18 communes and towns have achieved synchronous cultural and sports institutions; 89% of the population participates in health insurance. National defense and security are strengthened, social order and safety are ensured.

The Party building work has been focused on innovation by the District Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, improving political and ideological work; organizational and personnel work; inspection, supervision and mass mobilization work; promoting the role of effective and efficient operations of the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations from the district to the grassroots level.

Discussing at the congress, delegates focused on clarifying the results achieved in the fields of economy, socio-culture, national defense - security and political system building, as well as the shortcomings, limitations and causes; proposing directions, tasks and solutions for implementation in the coming term with higher determination and more drastic actions.

Speaking at the congress, on behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Committee and people of Hung Nguyen district in the past term.

Frankly pointing out some limitations of Hung Nguyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong also suggested and emphasized some key tasks that the Party Committee and people of Hung Nguyen district need to focus on in the coming term.
