Opening of the Propaganda Painting Exhibition to Celebrate the 130th Birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

On the afternoon of May 15, with the consent of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the Department of Grassroots Culture in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An organized the opening ceremony of the exhibition of propaganda paintings to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2020) and award prizes for the contest of composing propaganda paintings to celebrate major holidays at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh city, Nghe An province.

Attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition were Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong - Director of the Department of Cultural and Information Services - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Vu Viet Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural and Information Services.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ho Mau Thanh - Director of Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Kha Van Tam - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

The exhibition will introduce 115 works by professional and amateur artists nationwide, selected from many competitions organized by the Department of Grassroots Culture, specifically: Propaganda painting competition to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; promote studying and following the ideology, moral example and style of Ho Chi Minh; protect the sovereignty of sea and island borders and the Competition on prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 16 winning works of propaganda paintings celebrating the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh with 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 10 Consolation prizes.

The exhibition will last until May 31 at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh city.
