(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 4, the leaders of the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghia Dan district organized an award ceremony for Nghia Dan district police for their achievements in successfully solving a case, destroying a drug ring, seizing 3 heroin cakes, 1 kg of crystal meth and some pink pills.

Accordingly, at about 9:00 p.m. on July 3, 2018, Nghia Dan District Police received a report from the public that Nguyen Van Toan (born in 1973) and Ho Sy Long (born in 1975), residing in Bao Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, were driving a white KIA car with license plate 37A-390.70, transporting drugs from Que Phong District to Thai Hoa Town.
When the car passed Km 42, National Highway 48 in Nghia Lien commune, Nghia Dan district, the Nghia Dan district police working group coordinated with the functional forces to inspect and discovered on the floor of car 37A-390.70 a black plastic bag containing 3 rectangular blocks containing white powder and 1 green plastic bag containing transparent crystals; 1 blue plastic bag containing round tablets.

Through the investigation, Nguyen Van Toan initially confessed that all of the above substances were drugs, including 3 heroin cakes, 1kg of crystal meth and some pink meth that Toan bought from a man named Hai in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district for 520 million VND to resell for profit, but was discovered by the police force when they checked and discovered.
On this occasion, the district awarded the Nghia Dan District Police Investigation Board 40 million VND.
